Reflections on Family History

I’m writing a story and needed a likely name for a slave so I googled “female slave names”, which turned up some lists of slaves organized by plantation. It’s rows and rows of first names for people who didn’t have last names. It gives ages and little else. I’ve had some success tracing my family…
